Air India Express Resumes Flights to All Middle East Destinations, Restores Full West Asia Network

Air India Express has announced the full restoration of its flight operations across the Middle East, resuming services to all destinations in its West Asia network after temporary disruptions caused by regional tensions.

The Tata Group-owned low-cost airline confirmed that flights to Salalah and Kuwait have resumed, restoring connectivity to all destinations served by the carrier in the Middle East.

Currently, Air India Express operates around 780 weekly flights between India and West Asia, directly connecting 18 Indian cities with major destinations across the region. The airline is one of the largest carriers serving the India–Middle East travel corridor, catering to business travelers, tourists, and the large Indian expatriate community.

According to the airline, flights on the Kozhikode–Salalah route resumed from July 2. Services between Kozhikode and Kuwait restarted from July 3, while flights connecting Bengaluru and Kuwait are scheduled to resume from July 4. The airline also said flight frequencies on these routes will be increased gradually over the coming days to meet passenger demand.

Air India Express had temporarily suspended operations to select Middle East destinations following heightened geopolitical tensions in the region. With the latest resumption, the airline has restored its complete West Asia network, providing travelers with improved connectivity and greater travel options.

The airline currently operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft and conducts over 500 flights daily, connecting 43 domestic destinations across India and 16 international destinations. The expansion of services reinforces Air India Express' commitment to strengthening international connectivity and supporting growing passenger demand between India and the Middle East.

The restoration of the airline's full Middle East schedule is expected to benefit thousands of passengers, particularly Indian expatriates, tourists, and business travelers who rely on regular air connectivity between India and Gulf countries.

As international travel demand continues to recover, Air India Express plans to progressively increase capacity on key routes, further enhancing its presence in one of its most important international markets.
