AI infrastructure startup Together AI has secured $800 million in a Series C funding round, pushing its valuation to $8.3 billion as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to accelerate worldwide.

Founded in 2022, Together AI has emerged as one of the fastest-growing AI "neocloud" companies, providing access to high-performance Nvidia GPU clusters and AI-focused cloud infrastructure that powers generative AI applications, machine learning models, and enterprise AI workloads.

The latest investment round was led by Aramco Ventures, with participation from Vista Equity Partners, General Catalyst, Emergence Capital, Nvidia, March Capital, Pegatron, and S Ventures, the investment arm of **SentinelOne>.

Valuation More Than Doubles

The new funding marks a significant increase in Together AI's valuation. About 16 months ago, the company raised $305 million in a Series B round at a valuation of $3.3 billion.

Earlier, in 2023, Together AI raised $102.5 million in its Series A funding round, led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Nvidia and Emergence Capital.

The latest investment reflects growing investor confidence in AI infrastructure companies that provide scalable computing resources for enterprises developing and deploying artificial intelligence applications.

Strong Growth Driven by Open-Source AI

Together AI said its annual bookings exceeded $1.15 billion during the last quarter, driven by the increasing adoption of open-source AI models by businesses around the world.

Instead of relying exclusively on expensive proprietary AI models, many organizations are shifting toward open-source alternatives that can be deployed on cloud platforms like Together AI, offering lower costs while maintaining high performance.

According to the company, usage of open-source AI models has tripled over the past year, reflecting a broader industry trend toward cost-effective AI development. Thousands of businesses now use Together AI's infrastructure, including AI startups such as Cursor, Cognition, and Decagon.

AI Infrastructure Investment Continues to Surge

The rapid rise of Together AI highlights the growing investor interest in "neocloud" providers—companies specializing in AI-optimized cloud infrastructure and GPU computing.

Several AI infrastructure startups have recently attracted major funding rounds. AI cloud provider Upscale AI raised $500 million at a valuation of $2 billion, while TensorWave, which focuses on AMD GPU clusters, secured $350 million in Series B funding at a $1.55 billion valuation.

The strong investment activity reflects the increasing global demand for AI computing capacity as enterprises expand their use of generative AI, large language models, and advanced machine learning applications.

Experienced Founding Team

Together AI was co-founded by Vipul Ved Prakash, who previously founded the social media search platform Topsy, acquired by Apple in 2013 for a reported value exceeding $200 million.

The founding team also includes Percy Liang, a professor at Stanford University, and Ce Zhang, an associate professor affiliated with ETH Zürich and **University of Chicago>.

With fresh funding and growing enterprise adoption, Together AI plans to expand its AI cloud infrastructure, strengthen its GPU computing capabilities, and support the increasing demand for scalable, high-performance AI services across global markets.
